3/2011: After the earthquake

MAFO started receiving messages from optical companies and operators of production facilities in Japan. In this issue you can read the feedbacks of individual persons of the optical industry.
‘10 years after invention – what is the future of FreeForm’ was the question on the 12th MAFO – The Conference in Milan. Eleven speakers from Germany, USA, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and as far away as Australia shared their knowledge on the subject with the audience. To this topic Curt Brey wrote an article about his presentation on the conference ‘Exposing the dangers of alloy: the benefits of non-alloy blocking materials’.
In addition the MAFO editors visited for you SIOF in Shanghai (China) and MIDO in Milan (Italy) and will give you a short overview about interesting things there.
